1980s TACTILE EXHIBIT for ACT Blind Society

During my time with TADACT (1979 – 1991) I was asked by the ACT Blind Society if I could design an exhibition so that people with limited or no vision could enjoy using their remaining faculties of enjoying textures and forms, hearing sounds emitted by differing materials, and the characters of various materials – woods, fabrics, flowers etc.

So far I have not found any photographs but I do have some visual recollections in my mind about some panels which could be explored using these senses. I must have some photos somewhere – slides?

I wrote to the ACT Vision group(?) 2016 but they had no recollection of the panels – surely they would not be thrown out to the garbage dump – they were too expensive for casual disposal.
