1990 TADOVERBED A TADACT Productions project. Design + construction by Derek

The TADACT client was a senior and very specialised member of a government department who developed an illness which required prolonged rest in bed.

This device enabled her to continue to work at home and resolved a major problem.

TADACT Productions was a much better organisation for this project as it enabled the department to pay for a very specialised item and enabled the TADACT ‘volunteer’ to be remunerated for his time without feeling imposed upon. The cost was quite modest, consisting of labour, materials net cost + small overhead with no profit margin.

The tube metal frame could slide along the bed frame and was adjustable for height. A shelf top had space for note pad and pencil at the left, adjustable angle keypad in centre with an adjustable reference paper holder on top and a telephone on the right. The computer was wall hung and easily adjustable from a supine position. It was greatly appreciated and could not have been bought commercially.
