A friend asked for a southern reflector and I designed an adjustable flat plate reflector array on a pergola framework. Due to the varied sizes of windows it was of more psychological value than as a heating system. The stainless steel panels were economically cut and mounted on cement fibre board to save the cost of framing. Regarded by the owner as very effective and well integrated with the house structure. Still giving good service in 2016.
The vertical columns are now supporting a vigorous vine which is helping to shade a view of the neighbour’s driveway and carport.
