Polished silicon bronze with leather grip in centre but somewhat weathered by time
Following the cranked Dee handle made by Brentware there was a need for a more prestigious type of handle for a commissioned desk for the timber firm in Launceston.
This model was prototyped in silicon bronze with a leather grip in the centre to give a softer feel. It had a more gracious and generous feel to it than the cranked Dee handle which was a little more utilitarian.
Unfortunately it was never put into production but I did retain this one prototype which I have always been fond of. Ah well – you can’t win them all.
The actual model is either in my study or the workshop
